Ayatollah Khatami: NAM Summit showed isolation of US, Zionist regime

Tehran Substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami said that the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit showed the isolation of the US and the Zionist regime in the world.

Ayatollah Khatami said the fact that representatives (leaders and high-ranking officials) of 120 countries and 20 international organizations participated in the three-level meetings of NAM indicates that it is not the Islamic Republic of Iran that is isolated, but the US and the Zionist regime are isolated.

He pointed out that the West was engaged in media hype for such a long time before holding the NAM summit which showed their anger and fear from IR Iran's hosting the NAM summit and other two meetings.

'After taking tour of Tehran, the NAM leaders encountered peaceful and friendly people of Iran and realized that the US and the Zionist regime had lied to them about IR Iran,' Tehran substitute Friday prayers leader added.

He pointed out that the global arrogance tried to isolate IR Iran through threats and diplomatic efforts, but it failed to achieve its mischievous goals and foreign countries participated in the NAM Summit.
