The banned sectarian terrorist outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba has intensified media war against Shia Muslims. They have discussed intra-Shia affairs in their malicious propaganda campaign.
Recently, a web magazine carried an article that was aimed at insulting Shia Islam. They discussed Majlis-e- Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Shia Ulema Council’s differences. They criticized Shia Islam.
The said article was not a piece in isolation. An organized campaign was launched against Shia Islam in Pakistan. In this war, enemies overstate the differences of Shia leaders and scholars and also attack on the character of Shia leaders mainly Allama Sajid Naqvi.
Since the banned sectarian outfit identifies itself as deo-bandi school of thought, scandals of their scholars may also be reproduced. But, we think it is against the ethics of Islam. However, nobody has forgotten that similar scandals of Maulana Sami ul Haq were also published in the past. And it is Maulana Sami ul Haq who has played a key role in making Defence of Pakistan Council in which the banned sectarian outfit is a member.
In the web-article, the author has raised objections to the construction of Imam Bargahs in Islamabad. He seemed to have suffered from Shia-Phobia. He is of the view that Imam Bargahs should not be constructed. He has criticized Shia religious seminaries as well.
The web-article is sort of an anti-Shia pogrom. Neither Pakistan’s Constitution nor Islamic laws put any sort of restrictions on seminaries and Imam Bargahs. However, Pakistan government has banned Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. Therefore, their activities are illegal. So, it is obligatory on the government to take a swift action to stop anti-Shia pogrom.
Apart from it, Maulana Sami ul Haq and other noted figures of Defence of Pakistan Council should expel the banned outfit and announce publicly their dissociation from that notorious group. Unity of Muslims requires them to play a constructive and totally fair role in Pakistan. Otherwise, their continuation would be considered hypocrisy.
They should ponder upon why a JUP leader announced parting ways with Defence of Pakistan Council. That leader made it clear that the council has no representation from Shia Muslims.
On the other hand, Shia parties and leaders should take a lesson from this media war. Enemies have kept a watch on intra-Shia affairs and take their differences of opinion as contents of their trash-like material. It is a clarion call of the time that they should bury their differences and join hands to establish intra-Shia unity too.
Sipah-e-Sahaba is a takfiri group that declares Muslims as non-Muslims. They always try to portray Shia Muslims of Pakistan as infidels and foreign agents. In response, we can say with certainty that they are agents of the U.S. and Israel. They have a history of forming nexus with them and fighting proxy wars to serve their interests in Af-Pak region.
As far as Iran is concerned, Iranian government and people have funded Hamas and other Palestinian groups who are not Shia Muslims. There are many examples that promotion of sectarianism is not the policy of Iranian government. They have introduced numerous annual programmes to strengthen Sunni-Shia unity. Unity Week and Quds Day are just two examples.
Shia parties and leaders have to respond to the challenges of the time. They have to make it clear that Shia Muslims’ genocide is encouraged by anti-Shia pogrom that is based on incorrect and false allegations and hypothesis.
How bold and brave they are, the world bear witness to it after 9/11. It was reported that marriage of convenience of banned terrorist outfit with their foreign masters was broken off. Now, it seems that they have again joined their foreign masters.
