An eminent Shia religious scholar and preacher, kidnapped from outside of his house in Quetta, was martyred on Wednesday.
Another abducted Shia Muslim was also martyred along with him. The nasbi terrorists had demanded ransom for release of Maulana Noor Ali. The terrorists earlier demanded Rs.5 million-ransom and reduced it down to Rs.1 million.
Haseeb Zaidi was kidnapped from Sirki Road Quetta. His body was found lying in Naukundi. Both the martyrs were slaughtered.
Maulana Noor Ali Noorani was residing in Satellite Town Quetta. He had been preaching Islam for many years in Quetta. It is believed that nasbi terrorists of banned Taliban, banned Sipah-e-Sahaba and banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi have abducted him.
Mr. Noorani originally belonged to Kandhkot, Sindh province. His relatives had lodged an FIR of his abduction. Police had been groping in the dark about his kidnapping.
Two facts were established after the martyrdoms of these martyrs and another two martyrs of Sargodha. That the terrorists now slaughtered innocent people like butchers. And in case of Quetta martyrs, it came to surface that they also demand ransom.
Sense of deprivation is deepening in Shia community because of biased policy of the government. On one hand, convicted terrorists have not yet been hanged and on the other Shia Muslims are being persecuted.
Most of the cases of targeted killings remain unresolved due to police and relevant agencies inaction.
